At this time, Regard sur les Ouïghour-e-s is the only bilingual magazine published in Uyghur and French. It proposes original views on the Uyghur art and culture scene and follows a horizontal and plural approach.
Our magazine has two different sides, one in Uyghur and one in French, which merge in the middle on what we call the “artistic garden”. Each and every copy hosts original translations of poetry, travel narratives and daily life stories. It also provides Uyghur lessons to those who are interested in learning a Central Asian language and research articles focusing on history, geography and culture of the Uyghur Region. Our subscribers will soon be able to access all the copies of Regard sur les Ouïghour-e-s via our website.
We also hope that the next number of the journal, number 10, will be our first trilingual number thus launching a new version of the journal which will include English language content in addition to the French and Uyghur language articles.
