Since 2020 and especially in 2021, the Institute developed a dimension of political activism that it did not have before. Responding to the serious events that are still ongoing in the Uyghur region, the Institute’s team has led a number of campaigns to raise awareness among the French general public and to mobilise French politicians for the Uyghur cause.
To date, the biggest campaign we have conducted was the one for the recognition of the Uyghur genocide by the French National Assembly. This was accompanied by several smaller campaigns that nevertheless contributed to the advancement of the Uyghur cause in general.
